Toughbook Extended Warranty

Overview

Panasonic’s Extended Warranty provides your Toughbook Computers with up to an additional two years of Panasonic’s excellent Standard Warranty coverage. All Panasonic Toughbook Computers come with their 3-Year Limited Standard Warranty. With their Extended Warranty, Panasonic offers coverage extensions for Toughbook Computers that will be in use past the expiration of the original Standard Warranty. This warranty makes it easy for your organisation to keep Toughbook Computers in the field longer. The Extended Warranty Program covers all repair issues in the exact same manner as the Standard Warranty.

Warranty Description

Extended Warranty coverage must be purchased as part of the original Toughbook sale by a Panasonic representative, or within 30 days. All system components are covered. The Extended Warranty does not include items such as accessories, batteries, consumables, optional extras, etc. A complete list of the model and serial numbers must be submitted at the time of purchase. This warranty only covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal use. It does not cover damage which occurs in shipment; failures which are caused by software or virus issues; operational systems or application corruptions; products not supplied by Panasonic, or failures which result from installation, alteration, accident, misuse, introduction of liquid or other foreign matter into the unit; damage that is attributable to acts of God, abuse and neglect. Additionally, improper maintenance, modification or service by any party other than a Panasonic Service Centre or authorised Panasonic Service Provider will render the warranty void. Warranty Procedure

• If there is a claim and the Toughbook is faulty, please contact the Panasonic Helpdesk.
• For service under this contract, customers must provide the Panasonic Helpdesk with the company details and the full model and serial number of the unit.
• A repair reference number will be issued and the collection of the faulty unit will be arranged.
• A claim for a free of charge repair under warranty is subject to an inspection of the Panasonic Service Centre. (For further information please refer to the terms and conditions in the Service Manual.)
• The unit will be repaired at the Panasonic Service Centre and after completion returned to the sender via the courier of Panasonic.
• Shipments outside the EU are chargeable.

Extended Battery Warranty

Overview

Panasonic’s Extended Battery Warranty can streamline your organisation’s out-of-warranty battery replacement process for up to five years. All Toughbook Computer Batteries come with a 6 month Standard Warranty. The Extended Battery Warranty provides your organisation with coverage for up to five years. Simply stated, your organisation can select extended coverage for a period of three, four or five years. Under this warranty, batteries that drop below 50% capacity during normal use will be replaced at no additional charge by the Panasonic Service Centre and shipped to your user at no charge within Europe to ensure the highest level of enduser productivity.

Warranty Description

With this warranty, the user will receive a replacement battery when they call the Panasonic Service Centre. The battery capacity had to drop below 50% to make a claim. Toughbook Computers covered under this service are eligible to receive up to one battery per year for the duration of the extended warranty period. This warranty requires the model number and serial number be submitted at the time of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage that occurs in shipment or failures that are caused by products not supplied by Panasonic, or failures that result from alteration, accident, misuse, introduction of liquid or other foreign matter into the unit, abuse, neglect, installation, improper maintenance, modification or service by anyone other than a Panasonic Service Centre or a Panasonic authorized Service Provider or damage that is attributable to acts of God. A full explanation of the terms and conditions for the Standard Warranty is contained in the owner’s manual provided with every Toughbook Computer. Warranty Procedure

• If there is a claim and the Battery does not charge above 50%, please contact the Panasonic Helpdesk on 0845 389 2709.
• For service under this contract, customers must provide the Panasonic Helpdesk with the company details and the full model and serial number of the unit in which the battery is being used.
• A repair reference number will be issued and the collection of the faulty battery will be arranged.
• A claim for an exchange of the battery under warranty is subject to an inspection and confirmation of the battery’s capacity from the Panasonic Service Centre. (For further information please refer to the terms and conditions in the Service Manual.)
• The battery will be exchanged free of charge and shipped to the sender, if the capacity below 50% has been confirmed.

Executive Toughbook Accidental Damage Warranty

Overview

Which is why Panasonic happily offers you a Three-Year Warranty against material and manufacturing faults.

However, Panasonic recognises that your key business hardware isn‘t always safely stored in your office, and needs extra protection on the road. Because of this, they’re offering you a One-Year Accidental Damage Warranty.

As part of this agreement, they will repair or even replace your Business Ruggedised Toughbook free of charge if it is accidentally damaged within a year of purchase. Their approach is simple: you break it, they fix it, quickly and conveniently for you. It’s all part of their commitment to providing the ultimate in customer satisfaction – and, of course, demonstrates their confidence in Toughbooks.

Warranty Description

The Warranty covers all repairs that result from an accident during regular use. It does not cover damage from intentional acts, fire, loss, theft, normal wear (cosmetic and tear) not affecting functionality, improper maintenance and modification by anyone other than a Panasonic Service Centre or authorised Panasonic Service Provider, or damage that is attributable to acts of God. The single claim limit is the value of the computer, and the total sum insured is the total amount invoiced for your Panasonic Toughbooks. The Warranty must be purchased as part of the original sale from a Panasonic representative or within 30 days of purchase of the associated hardware. All system components are covered under the programme, including the LCD. The model and serial number must be supplied to Panasonic before any service can be rendered. Under this service, if repairing a unit is impossible, Panasonic will replace it with a model of equal or greater value. Data Security Warranty

Overview

Panasonic’s Data Security Warranty offers the ultimate in tracking, managing and protecting digital assets for complete computer security. Panasonic is a preferred provider of Computrace One® by Absolute Software. Using any type of Internet connection, you can centrally manage your Toughbook Computers within a single interface. You can identify any Toughbook Computers that have gone missing, enforce software policies, and maintain a fleet of optimally running devices. If a Toughbook Computer is reported missing or stolen, Computrace One® can help you recover your Toughbook Computer via the Absolute Recovery Team.

IT Asset Management

Manage Toughbooks regardless if a device is on or off the company network. Monitor changes in asset information including user identification, physical location, and the installation of software/hardware that may not comply with company regulations.

Data & Device Security

Delete data on missing Toughbooks and produce an audit log of the deleted files to prove compliance with government and corporate regulations. Set alerts to be notified if non-compliance activities occur, including initiating a process to wipe a device clean if pre-set criteria is met or using the Device-Freeze-Feature to freeze a computer.

Theft Recovery

The Absolute Theft Recovery team will forensically mine a stolen computer over the internet using a variety of procedures including key captures, registry and file scanning, geolocation, and other investigative techniques to determine who has the computer and what they’re doing with it. Most importantly, Absolute will use a technology to pinpoint the physical location of the computer and work closely with local police to recover it.
