Extended Battery Warranty

Overview

Panasonic’s Extended Battery Warranty can streamline your organisation’s out-of-warranty battery replacement process for up to five years. All Toughbook Computer Batteries come with a 6 month Standard Warranty. The Extended Battery Warranty provides your organisation with coverage for up to five years. Simply stated, your organisation can select extended coverage for a period of three, four or five years. Under this warranty, batteries that drop below 50% capacity during normal use will be replaced at no additional charge by the Panasonic Service Centre and shipped to your user at no charge within Europe to ensure the highest level of enduser productivity.

Warranty Description

With this warranty, the user will receive a replacement battery when they call the Panasonic Service Centre. The battery capacity had to drop below 50% to make a claim. Toughbook Computers covered under this service are eligible to receive up to one battery per year for the duration of the extended warranty period. This warranty requires the model number and serial number be submitted at the time of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage that occurs in shipment or failures that are caused by products not supplied by Panasonic, or failures that result from alteration, accident, misuse, introduction of liquid or other foreign matter into the unit, abuse, neglect, installation, improper maintenance, modification or service by anyone other than a Panasonic Service Centre or a Panasonic authorized Service Provider or damage that is attributable to acts of God. Warranty Procedure

• If there is a claim and the Battery does not charge above 50%, please contact the Panasonic Helpdesk on 0845 389 2709.
• For service under this contract, customers must provide the Panasonic Helpdesk with the company details and the full model and serial number of the unit in which the battery is being used.
• A repair reference number will be issued and the collection of the faulty battery will be arranged.
• A claim for an exchange of the battery under warranty is subject to an inspection and confirmation of the battery’s capacity from the Panasonic Service Centre. (For further information please refer to the terms and conditions in the Service Manual.)
• The battery will be exchanged free of charge and shipped to the sender, if the capacity below 50% has been confirmed.
