As fully a ruggedised reference model, the CF-30 unifies a whole host of innovations and rugged features. Its 13.3" touchscreen display features an outstanding brightness of up to 1000cd/m2 that guarantees brilliant visibility even in direct sunlight environments.

Constructed using an ultra strong magnesium alloy case, the CF-30 is vibration and shock resistant to MIL-STD 810F and comes with a shock-damping HDD casing, enabling it to withstand drops from a height of 90cm. A special HDD-heater allows for operating under extreme cold conditions while the anti-reflective silver painting on the casing and the carry handle with integrated touchpen holder prevent heat absorption in bright outdoor conditions. All joins and external covers are sealed providing the unit a dust and water resistance to the IP-54-standard. The multimedia pocket gives the flexibility to attach different drives and even a secondary battery.

The Intel Centrino 2 with vPro technology and Intel Core 2 Duo processor promises high performance and efficient energy consumption. Thanks to embedded WLAN and optional 3G Mobile Broadband capabilities wireless data transfer for business communication can be achieved. The high-power main battery plus an optional second battery allow for a running time of up to 12.5 hours.
